Disposable Face Towels in Personal Care at Home

A face towel sold for home use and a face towel sold to a salon can be the same web off the same line. What separates them is the pack, and the pack is where most of the specification work happens.

    The household format

The 20 cm series is the format that fits a bathroom: 20 cm wide, lengths of 10, 15, 20 or 22 cm, in a pop-up bag at 40 to 100 GSM. The bag sits on a shelf or a counter and dispenses one towel at a time, which is the whole point of the format. The 30 cm series is quarter-folded into a box and cannot pop up, so it is the wrong shape for a wet-handed user even though the towel itself is larger and more absorbent-feeling.

Material is the household buyer's real choice

Four families are recorded: 100% viscose, 100% cotton, viscose with polyester, and viscose with lyocell. A household pack that claims biodegradability can only do so on the first, second and fourth of those — a viscose and polyester blend cannot carry the claim. Since that claim is often the reason a consumer chooses a disposable towel over a cloth one, the material has to be settled before the packaging copy is written, not after.

What a private-label pack needs beyond the towel

Unit count, artwork, label, barcode and carton are recorded as customisation fields, confirmed at quotation. That list is short and it is where a private-label launch slips: a buyer who approves the towel and the bag colour but not the barcode placement discovers the problem at the printer. The private label programme page sets out the sequence, and the useful discipline is to treat packaging as its own approval rather than as an afterthought to the towel.

    Planning a household order

Household volume is driven by pack count and pack size rather than by a usage rate. A retailer orders packs, not pieces, and the pieces per pack is a specification field — the recorded reference configurations show how much a change in unit count moves the carton, from 614 cartons per 40HQ at 50 pieces per box to 492 at 60 pieces. For a household line the pack size is a shelf decision first and a freight decision second, and both are visible in the same quotation if the unit count is stated.

What the record does not carry

No softness rating, no absorbency figure and no skin-safety claim is recorded for the face range. A household product often wants to say something about skin, and that claim needs its own evidence rather than being borrowed from the fibre name.

Recorded formats are on disposable face towels; the household context is described under personal care face towels.
