Quality Control for Disposable Spunlace Nonwoven Products

Jaroll controls disposable towel projects against an approved product specification. The applicable inspection items, sampling plan, test methods and acceptance limits are confirmed for the product and order before production.

    What changed in this review

    • Separated in-house inspection from third-party testing where required.
    • Added current ISO 9073 and INDA/EDANA method references without presenting them as product certifications.
    • Added the quality-document request codes D01–D04 for buyer review.

How is quality controlled during production?

Jaroll uses eight production stages with defined checks. The approved sample and written specification control the final material, dimensions, GSM, fold, count, packaging and product-specific acceptance criteria.

    1. 01

      Incoming inspection

Check supplier status, batch documents, appearance and specification items required for the incoming material.

    2. 02

      Slitting and setup

Confirm roll width, setup conditions and the first converted article.

    3. 03

      Folding and forming

Check dimensions, folding structure and in-process appearance.

    4. 04

      Cutting and counting

Check length consistency and unit count.

    5. 05

      Primary packaging

Check packaging construction, seal condition and visible foreign matter.

    6. 06

      Labeling

Verify product name, specification, batch identification and approved label content.

    7. 07

      Final inspection

Inspect the finished lot against the agreed sampling plan and product specification.

    8. 08

      Release and shipment

Release accepted product and retain the applicable batch, inspection and shipment records.

Which inspection items can be included?

Inspection scope depends on the approved product specification. Routine physical checks may be completed in-house; chemical, microbiological or other items outside the agreed in-house scope are assigned to a qualified third-party laboratory when required.

    Inspection equipment and capability

    EquipmentInspection capability
Whiteness meterWhiteness measurement and screening for migratable fluorescent whitening agents
Fabric thickness gaugeThickness and batch-uniformity checks
Electronic tensile testerDry and wet breaking-strength tests
Constant-temperature incubatorMicrobiological incubation where included in the confirmed inspection scope
    MicroscopeFiber observation and foreign-matter identification

    Inspection items and method references

Microbiological itemsCounts and specified microorganisms, when specifiedAgreed method; qualified third-party laboratory where required

Report timing depends on the confirmed inspection scope. Third-party laboratory timelines apply to tests outside the in-house scope.

How is a quality complaint traced?

A production batch number links the product to the applicable material, production, inspection and shipment records. Complaint review starts by identifying the affected product, order and batch.

    Material lot

    Supplier, arrival and incoming-acceptance records

    Production record

Machine, shift, process information and in-process checks

    Inspection record

Sampling, results, disposition and retained samples where applicable

    Shipment record

Order, quantity, shipment date and destination

When required, the review includes containment, retained-sample comparison, cause analysis, corrective action, responsibility, deadline and an effectiveness check.

Which international test methods can be referenced?

International methods provide a shared technical language. The exact method edition, sample conditioning, sampling rule and acceptance limit must still be written into the product specification.

ISO 9073 and INDA/EDANA NWSP are test-method references, not Jaroll product certifications. A compliance statement applies only to the stated method, product specification, acceptance limit and supporting report.

Which quality documents can a buyer request?

Use the document code in the contact form. Availability and disclosure scope depend on the product, project stage and confidentiality requirements.

Buyer questions about quality and testing

What checks are performed before shipment?

The finished lot is checked against the approved product specification. Applicable items can include appearance, dimensions, count, GSM, thickness, tensile strength, absorbency and packaging. Chemical or microbiological items are included only when required by the confirmed specification.

Does Jaroll apply the same test plan to every product?

No. The inspection scope, sampling plan, method and acceptance limit depend on the product, order and approved specification.

Are ISO 9073 references product certifications?

No. ISO 9073 references describe test methods. They do not certify a product, factory or environmental claim.

Can buyers use their own test method or AQL plan?

A customer method or sampling plan can be reviewed and written into the approved specification when it is technically applicable and agreed before production.

What information is needed to investigate a complaint?

Provide the product name, order number, batch number, affected quantity, photos or video, and a clear description of the issue. Samples may be requested when comparison testing is necessary.
